SparkTrove collects nothing. Your child's name, age, chosen character, coins and progress are stored on your device and are never transmitted. There are no accounts, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics. The app does not use the microphone or the camera, and contains no chat of any kind.

Axara Pty Ltd (ABN 18 641 809 038) (“Axara”, “we”, “us”) publishes SparkTrove, a learning app for children aged 6–8. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and, where the app is distributed internationally, with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the GDPR.

This policy is deliberately short, because SparkTrove does very little with data: it does not collect any.

01

Overview & Scope

This policy applies to the SparkTrove mobile application for iPhone, iPad and Android, published by Axara Pty Ltd.

It does not cover the Axara corporate website, which is covered by the Axara Privacy Policy, nor any third-party website you may reach from a link in this document.

SparkTrove is designed to be used by a child, with a parent or guardian setting it up. Anything that is not part of the child's activity — settings, progress summaries, this policy, and erasing data — sits behind an adult check inside the app.

02

What We Collect

Nothing. SparkTrove has no servers, no accounts, and in its current version no network access at all. The Android build does not request the INTERNET permission.

We specifically do not collect:

We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal information, because we do not hold any.

03

What Stays On Your Device

SparkTrove stores the following in the app's private storage on your device, protected by the operating system's own file protection:

WhatWhyLeaves the device?
Your child's first nameSo the character can greet them by nameNever
Age (6, 7 or 8)Sets the starting difficultyNever
Chosen characterThemes the appNever
Gold coins and progressRewards and difficulty adjustmentNever
Questions already answeredSo the same question is not repeatedNever
Narration and voice settingsParent preferencesNever

The first name is used only for the on-screen greeting. A nickname or a single initial works just as well — nothing in the app depends on it being a real name.

This information is excluded from cloud backup and device-transfer on Android. Deleting the app removes all of it.

04

Disclosure to Third Parties

None. SparkTrove contains no third-party software development kits — no advertising networks, no analytics providers, no crash-reporting services, no social media components.

The only diagnostic information Axara may ever receive is the anonymous, aggregated crash reporting that Apple and Google provide to all developers, and only where you have opted in to share it with the operating system itself. That data is aggregated by the platform and contains nothing about your child.

05

Children’s Privacy

SparkTrove is intended for children aged 6–8 and is published in the Apple App Store Kids Category and the Google Play Designed for Families programme.

SparkTrove has no chat, no messaging, no user-generated content, no social features, no in-app purchases, no advertising and no external links outside the adult-only area.

06

How the Questions Are Made

Questions in SparkTrove are written in advance, away from your device, with the assistance of an artificial intelligence system operated by Axara. Every generated question is then checked automatically for safety, reading level, and factual grounding before it is included in the app. History and science questions may only restate facts drawn from a reviewed fact sheet.

Your child’s answers are never sent to an AI system. There is no chat and no free-text conversation anywhere in SparkTrove. The app does not generate anything while your child is using it — every question was written and checked before the app was published.

07

Device Permissions

SparkTrove requests no permissions.

08

Security & Deleting Data

Information stored on your device is held in the app's private storage and protected by the operating system’s file protection. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no server to breach and no data in transit to intercept.

Deleting everything

Open the grown-ups area — the small gear icon on the home screen, behind an adult check — and choose Erase all data. The profile, all progress and all coins are removed from the device immediately. Uninstalling the app also removes everything.

09

Your Rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the GDPR and comparable laws you have rights of access, correction, erasure, and complaint in relation to personal information an organisation holds about you.

Axara holds no personal information about you or your child in connection with SparkTrove, so there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete. Everything the app stores is on your device and under your direct control, as described in Section 08.

If you believe we have handled information improperly, please contact us using the details in Section 11. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

10

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and describe what changed.

If a future version of SparkTrove begins collecting or transmitting anything — for example to download new question packs — we will update this policy, update the data-safety declarations on both app stores, and obtain verifiable parental consent before that feature is used. We will not start collecting anything quietly.
